To support families in a time of need – APGP has taken steps to launch a new program, Action Park Pods. The program, Action Park Pods, is structured for participants following online asynchronous learning but can also accommodate synchronous learning. APP will motivate participants to think for themselves, complete school assignments and participate in social interactions while staying active in a safe and controlled environment.
Led by enthusiastic park staff, our commitment to the mental and emotional health of each program participant will help supplement the gap missing from today’s society due to in-person learning restrictions.
With the fall school semester going virtual for most districts, we are fortunate to offer our newly refurbished 2-acre facility complete with 2,000 SQFT of space dedicated for this program, 2 skateparks, multi-purpose sports field, outdoor stage, 2 RC car tracks and more.
Participation will be limited to groups of 10 participants or fewer and allow participants to bring their specific virtual learning curriculum to us and complete it while under the supervision of Action Park staff. Participants will also have the option to engage in extracurricular action sports activities as well.
For the safety of the staff and participants we require families to commit to 1 month minimum at a time to hold their spot each week. Due to the ongoing challenges facing our state and country we must disclose that closures or mandated shut downs may be possible, and are out of our control.
Before application approval, submissions will be reviewed by our program coordinators. It is required that parents understand their child’s day to day work load and disclose this information to staff so that expectations can be met. Any allergy or medications needs or concerns must be provided and upon approval, an additional CoVID-19 risk review form will provided to ensure any risk of exposure to our program participants is prevented.
